Busy day of football lies in store

Rye United will be desperate to start climbing the Division One table, but they face a stern test at home to fourth-placed Littlehampton Town. Kick-off at The Salts is 3pm. It’s been a tough week for Rye as influential striker Andy Atkin has announced his retirement and defender Jono Richardson has moved to Ryman Division One South side Sittingbourne. Only runaway leaders East Preston have won more games than Littlehampton. In Division Two, fourth-placed Little Common will travel to second-placed Haywards Heath Town missing virtually a whole side. Adam Smith, Josh Elliott-Noye, Charlie Bachellier, Jerome Smith, Jon Saunders and Dom Bristow are injured, while Lewis Hole, Steve Morris and Anthony Cooper are away. Lee Carey is in talks with other clubs. Westfield will be targeting a fourth win in five Division Two games when they host promotion hopefuls Broadridge Heath.
